INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cans french style green beans
- Salt (I use Pink Himalayan) and black pepper
- 2 tblsp vegan butter or butter of your choice
- 1 tblsp chopped/minced garlic
- 2 tblsp flour of your choice, I used brown rice flour
- 3/4 cup vegetable broth, or broth of your choice
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of your choice
- Bread crumbs, stuffing mix, crispy fried onions. Whatever you prefer as your crunchies on top
DIRECTIONS:
1. Pre- heat oven to 350
2. Add vegan butter and garlic to large pan. Let simmer till butter is melted then season with salt and pepper
3. Add flour one table spoon at a time, whisking around till coated. Simmer for 1 minute then add the vegetable stock. Stir to incorporate
4. Add almond milk and some more pepper. Then add green beans, stir everything around and let simmer for 7-8 minutes. If it's not thick, add a bit more flour
5. Transfer contents of pan into a baking dish
6. Top with crunchies of your choice. Sprinkle with onion powder if not using crispy fried onions.
7. Bake for 15mins
